Bridget Dilkes (Bea) was born in Cape Town where she has lived near the mountains and sea all her life. She is a part-time music teacher by profession, teaching young and older folk the joy music, and this is the same passion that guides her paintings.
She works in oils using many layers and makes use of her palette knife and dry brushes, experimenting with various techniques in order to achieve an original style. She loves the use of beautiful, vibrant colours and delicate textures. Her paintings are inspired by her surrounds, weekends away and wonderful overseas adventures.
